My Bio

I'm an American female in my early thirties meditating on what success means to me. I have worked as an Editorial Assistant, Admission Counselor, waitress/hostess, and more, and rarely find time for drawing. I live with my wonderful husband and adorable pup, and I spend my free time experimenting in the kitchen, brainstorming novels that have yet to be written, and taking too many photos of fascinating cloud formations.

So, after four years of being a member on DeviantArt, I'm finally taking the time to upload some stuff. :) Apologies for the poor quality - I don't own a scanner, so 99% of what I'm uploading is done with traditional media (usually pencil, sharpie, and Prismacolor, but there'll be a bit of marker, watercolor, water-soluble pen, and other)... and then I've TAKEN A PHOTO with my iPhone and uploaded it. I've uploaded quite a bit of anime/manga fanart from my years in public school, starting from about 1998 and going through 2006. There are a few more recent attempts as well, and I'm about to put up a gallery of artwork assignments from a Drawin

Lurker!

On the off-chance that anybody ever looks at my profile, I thought that a journal entry might help explain my lack of gallery. XD I'm currently on winter break before my last ever semester of college. I have little to no time to draw, and I have no scanner! I'm also Photoshop illiterate, and do all of my art the old-fashioned way - specifically, with mechanical pencil, sharpie, Prismacolor colored pencils, and drawing pads. I will occasionally use Crayola marker or watercolors, but that's rare. That said, I WILL eventually have a gallery up. I just need to graduate and get a scanner. Or use my friend's. ...her scanner, not her diploma. At

Thanks for the fave!
Thank you for the fav
Thank YOU for the amazing cosplay! It's so hard not to "favorite" everything. :) Lord of the Rings, Gravitation, Sen to Chihiro, ElfQuest, Harry Potter, Cats....!! LOVE it all. But there seems to be so little appreciation for ElfQuest these days, I was happiest to see that one! <3 You are a fantastic cosplayer, regardless of the gender of the characters you're playing. VERY well done! ^__^
Yeah, Drachea should draw a 40 year old cougar and 12 year old loli.

I bet the experiment ends in fail. Pedo is pedo no matter if they're male or female. :iconderpplz:

Saying the 12 year old Loli is 29 in the description doesn't stop it from being Pedo.
:iconpedobearplz:

I can't believe his watchers are blindly taking his side over the obvious truth depicted in that drawing.
I think you misunderstood my comment on Drachea's profile. :/ I was commenting that many of the people complaining about the picture (not all) would likely complain less (or not at all) if he had drawn two female characters... just because they're subject to the double-standard of our male-dominated society that likes to see two females together as sex objects, regardless of their ages or identities as human beings...

I promise you, I'm not blind - and neither am I in any way a supporter of pedophilia, whether in art or in real life. People can draw what they like, but hey - I'm just not interested in that sort of thing. Ick.

BUT.

In the most recent picture, it's clear that Drachea has drawn a *self-portrait.* If you've seen photos of him, he is rather youthful looking. Also, the anime art *style* removes all blemishes and roughness, which automatically tends to take 5-10 years off of a person's appearance; that's just the style. Furthermore, the art style - which Drachea follows extremely well - mandates that younger children (say, 14 and under) should have disproportionately large heads, wider eyes, very small hands, tiny noses, and extremely weak jawlines - none of which apply to the character in question. Finally, Drachea has vehemently expressed his extreme distaste for pedophilia more times than I can count. He's AGREEING with comments that say that pedo is disgusting! If only for that reason, even if you find it impossible to see his drawing as depicting a twenty-something young man, it would be reasonable to say that Drachea failed, from that perspective, to correctly draw what he was trying to draw.

It's clear that he would never voluntarily draw shota; it must be assumed, then, if we are willing to trust in his human decency and honesty, that his artistic talent is not quite perfect, and that he didn't capture the look that he intended to transmit to his audience.

At least, that's my view. :)
Your comment taken seriously is the way I chose to view it since that way it is totally correct. :P
Lol you gave him a lot to read... thank you for your comment though, but I think you wasted your time since this troll has proven that he cant read.

Again, thank you for your support. Your comment was a lovely day to start my morning.
