I think you misunderstood my comment on Drachea's profile. :/ I was commenting that many of the people complaining about the picture (not all) would likely complain less (or not at all) if he had drawn two female characters... just because they're subject to the double-standard of our male-dominated society that likes to see two females together as sex objects, regardless of their ages or identities as human beings...
I promise you, I'm not blind - and neither am I in any way a supporter of pedophilia, whether in art or in real life. People can draw what they like, but hey - I'm just not interested in that sort of thing. Ick.
BUT.
In the most recent picture, it's clear that Drachea has drawn a *self-portrait.* If you've seen photos of him, he is rather youthful looking. Also, the anime art *style* removes all blemishes and roughness, which automatically tends to take 5-10 years off of a person's appearance; that's just the style. Furthermore, the art style - which Drachea follows extremely well - mandates that younger children (say, 14 and under) should have disproportionately large heads, wider eyes, very small hands, tiny noses, and extremely weak jawlines - none of which apply to the character in question. Finally, Drachea has vehemently expressed his extreme distaste for pedophilia more times than I can count. He's AGREEING with comments that say that pedo is disgusting! If only for that reason, even if you find it impossible to see his drawing as depicting a twenty-something young man, it would be reasonable to say that Drachea failed, from that perspective, to correctly draw what he was trying to draw.
It's clear that he would never voluntarily draw shota; it must be assumed, then, if we are willing to trust in his human decency and honesty, that his artistic talent is not quite perfect, and that he didn't capture the look that he intended to transmit to his audience.
At least, that's my view.
